about

Born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada, Christina Anastassopoulos grew up in the era where childhood moments were split between analog and the fully digital age and this may be part of the reason why her creative space straddles the line between analog and digital as well. Having studied both Art History and Psychology, her art practice is informed by an acute focus on self-awareness and joy finding. Her current art practice focuses on working through overarching themes of connectivity of self and the external biological environment while searching through the tangled web of self primarily in paint.

She loves to share her love of play and finding joy in all the little moments, often bringing focus to this motif by bringing forward the smallest of creatures and painting them larger than life.
